‘One Battle After Another,’ ‘F1’ and ‘Pluribus’ Among Location Managers Guild International Awards Nominees

“One Battle After Another,” “F1” and “Pluribus”  are among the movies and television shows nominated for the Location Managers Guild International awards.

The 13th annual LMGI Awards, set for Aug. 22, and will be held at The Eli and Edythe Broad Stage in Santa Monica.

The LMGI Awards received a record number of submissions from around the world, each uniquely demonstrating how locations enrich the art of storytelling and filmmaking.

Paul Thomas Anderson shot his best picture winning film in at least nine counties in California, at L.A. North Studios and in El Paso, Texas, while Joseph Kosinski had access to Formula 1 racing tracks and filmed “F1” in between races. He shot at Silverstone in the U.K., Las Vegas and Abu Dhabi.

The event will honor Location Manager Mike Fantasia with a Lifetime Achievement Award. Fantasia has worked on nearly 40 feature films, including “Top Gun: Maverick,” “Killers of the Flower Moon” and “Spider-Man: Homecoming.” The LMGI Humanitarian Award will be presented to the Environmental Media Association for advancing sustainable production across film and television.
