December 2025 Newsletter
In 2025, EMA artists helped amplify one of the most consequential stories unfolding on Earth: the movement to protect the Amazon and uphold Indigenous rights during COP30, the first UN Climate Conference ever held in the Amazon. The Amazon is a critical climate stabilizer, anchoring water and food systems essential to life.
EMA joined Amazonia Calling as a founding partner to catalyze an Indigenous- led cultural amplification effort in support of the Indigenous Declaration, a unified plan to protect the Amazon supported by more than 500 Amazonian Indigenous nations. Through this effort, 300+ artists, and cultural influencers joined 30+ partner organizations in solidarity, generating millions of views.
This visibility signaled to global leadership that the world is paying attention and sent a clear message to those on the front lines: they are not alone, emboldening Indigenous leaders and communities defending their lands, lives, and our collective future.
Two of the participating artists were Indigenous leader Juma Xipaia and director Richard Ladkani of the inspiring film Yanuni, winner of Best Documentary at the 2025 EMA awards and recently shortlisted for the Oscars.
Art and storytelling have always moved culture forward. EMA and Amazonia Calling meet at this nexus, where protecting ecosystems like the Amazon is inseparable from protecting our shared future.

Last week, EMA convened for our annual All Boards meeting, reflecting on a year of meaningful impact and charting the path ahead. At the intersection of entertainment and sustainability, EMA continues to inspire positive environmental change in television, film, and music.
As part of the day, our partner Traditional Medicinals joined us to introduce their new Stress Ease® Calm and Rosy Mood™ teas, along with Throat Coat® Lemon Echinacea lozenges. Their Chief Science Officer, Taryn Forrelli ND, guided Board members through a grounding meditation, and with Rosy Mood tea in hand, we embraced a moment of stillness – connecting with the heart-opening energy of this beautiful blend. Throughout the gathering, conversations flowed around herbal wellness, sustainability, and the role of mindful practices in caring for both people and the planet.
The event was a perfect example of how EMA uses pop culture and celebrity influence to promote products that are good for our health and planet! We truly appreciate our friends at Traditional Medicinals for the wonderful evening.
