EMA Reaches New Audience
With Virtual Awards

2020 has been a year of uncertainty. Despite the tragic circumstances that brought it about, public health is now front and center in public discourse. While we rely on our experts in the health and medical fields for guidance on the pandemic, we can't ignore the connection between our planet and our health. For this reason, we thought it was just as important as ever to recognize critical environmental stories and solutions with our annual EMA Awards.

Thanks to some tech-savvy people, the best Board an organization could ask for, and an outstanding group of submissions, we were able to take our iconic Awards show online. We hope many of you tuned-in for the hour-long show hosted by EMA Executive Board Co-Chair Lance Bass, but even if you didn't, you can still watch the show in its entirety online (see link below). We are thrilled that our Awards was able to reach a new audience online! The virtual event received billions of media impressions and over 62,000 views on social.

It's important to both talk the talk AND walk the walk. We are so happy to announce that 205 projects received our EMA Green Seal for production including 77 receiving our Gold Seal. Click here to see the full list.

A big thanks to The Walt Disney Company, NBCUniversal, Sony Pictures Entertainment, Paramount Pictures, ViacomCBS, WarnerMedia, SAG Awards, Participant Media, Netflix, Cause Three Manitoba Productions Inc., ReKon Productions, Studio 104 Entertainment and TGK Films, Tandem Pictures
University of North Carolina School of the Arts, and Gucci Commercial shoot for making the entertainment industry green.

Stay tuned for more EMA Virtual campaigns and events.

Times have changed, but EMA's mission has not: To provide a unified voice for our planet through entertainment, storytelling and education.
